Beautiful, fast 11m Alan Buchanan design with steel hull, wooden superstructure, and teak deck.
The boat was built in 1960 at the Royal Huisman shipyard in Ronduite, Holland, which has been known for high-quality craftsmanship in boat building since 1884. It has the construction number 1, and the original type plate is present.
The sister ship (the 7 Seas, or Luna) had already been on a world tour, and a book was written about it, which can be found in the ship's library.
The following work was completed during the 2021/22 winter storage period:
• Complete replacement of all shrouds
• Replacement of mainsheet
• Installation of Autohelm diesel heater
• Paint finish on wooden mast (3-fold)
• Antifouling
The following work was completed during the 2023/24 winter storage period:
• Installation of new consumer batteries (gel) 2×225 Ah
• Diesel tank overhaul by a specialist workshop
• Complete replacement of fender

• New genoa sheet
• Overhaul of the bronze winches
• Painting of the seats in the cockpit (8 times)
• Sealing inner corners of cockpit
• Anode replacement
• New underwater hull

• New rudder fitting and tiller painted (8 times)
• New large tarpaulin
• New sprayhood
