Condor Yachting "Blickfang" - From working ship to extraordinary dream home
The motor yacht "Blickfang", built in 1983 by Condor Yachting as a robust Dutch shipyard construction, looks back on an eventful history. Originally designed as a seaworthy workboat, she was built with the typically solid craftsmanship of Dutch shipyards - for reliable, safe use in demanding conditions. Today, this ship presents itself as an extravagant residential vessel that combines its past with a modern, stylish interior to create a maritime home.
With great attention to detail, the "Blickfang" has been extensively and tastefully refurbished in recent years. The honest character of the steel displacer has been retained, but the interior has been completely reinterpreted. The result is a floating refuge that combines living comfort, warmth and spaciousness - ideal for all those who not only want to travel on the water, but also live there.
The spacious saloon forms the heart of the yacht. Large windows allow plenty of light to flood the warm wooden elements and tasteful furnishings. A wood-burning stove makes the room particularly cozy and gives it an almost homely atmosphere that you would otherwise only find in a loft on land. This is complemented by a water-bearing pallet stove heater which, together with the engine heater, also provides cozy warmth in the cabins - a detail that makes this ship habitable all year round.
At 18.73 meters long and almost 5 meters wide, the "Blickfang" offers an impressive amount of space. A total of six cabins with ten berths and five bathrooms are available - a rare combination that is predestined for both private long-term stays and upscale guest operations. The headroom of two meters underlines the generous feeling of space, while high-quality materials, fine wooden fittings and loving details ensure maritime elegance.
The technical equipment of the "Blickfang" is in no way inferior to the living quality. Two powerful Ford-Lehmann diesel engines with a total of 440 hp reliably drive the solid steel displacement vessel. With a bow thruster, hydraulic steering and extensive navigation equipment, she is safe and easy to maneuver. The CE category A (high seas) testifies to her original seaworthiness - a ship that is ready for any body of water.
On board, 4,700 liters of diesel tank, 2,000 liters of fresh water and 2,000 liters of waste water ensure self-sufficient living even over longer periods of time. There is also a generator, shore connection, hot water system and inverter - everything you need for independent living on the water.
The "Blickfang" also shows its best side on deck: teak decking, a spacious bathing platform, stable railings, hydraulic anchor winch with stainless steel chain and elegant lines give it the appearance of a classic, timelessly beautiful yacht.
The "Blickfang" has evolved from a robust workboat into a unique residential vessel with soul and style. She combines the best of both worlds - the solidity and safety of a professional shipyard with the atmosphere and warmth of a lovingly furnished home.
Choosing this boat means choosing not just a yacht, but a living space with history - freedom, independence and maritime charm at its best.
