The steel hull of the Andante IV was sandblasted in 2021/22 and rebuilt with a K2 paint system. This is not a cosmetic measure, but the central investment that is still pending for many comparable boats. Here it has been completed - documented and visible.
The rest is based on this 1000 GSAK steel displacer: The Yanmar 4JH2-TE with 68 hp runs at 2,790 hours in a range that is considered solid and uncritical for this generation of engines. Easy to maintain, durable, proven a million times over. Complemented by the classic shaft system and a Vetus 4-blade bronze propeller renewed in 2023, the result is a drive system that is designed for reliability, not short-term performance.
The focus on practicality is also evident in operation: two helm stations - flybridge for an overview, inside helm station for independence from the weather. Bow thruster for relaxed mooring, even without a crew. Gas heating, hot water boiler and solar system ensure that the boat can not only be driven, but also used - regardless of the season and shore power.
The interior fittings have been revised and match the technical condition: no investment backlog, no transitional project. Plus a berth in Berlin that can be taken over by arrangement - an additional advantage that makes it much easier to get started.
In short: a steel displacement vessel with a newly built hull, proven Yanmar diesel, a clear investment history and immediate operational readiness - including a berth option in Berlin.
