This yacht is not built for the next weekend cruise - but for routes you have to rely on. The Hanseat 70 „Aglaia“ stands for exactly what many are looking for and few find: real seaworthiness with proven substance. In 1978, a ship of the same design crossed the North Atlantic single-handedly in 22 days. The CE category B (offshore) confirms what this design has demonstrated for decades: you are not dependent on fair weather.
However, today's condition is decisive: the „Aglaia“ was extensively refitted in 2020. The underwater hull was completely rebuilt and protected with six layers of West System epoxy - a massive advantage in terms of osmosis prevention and value retention. The hull was given a high-quality 2K paint finish. All work has been fully documented since 2020. You are not buying a project here, but a prepared ship.
The Indenor DTP-40 (40 hp) was professionally serviced in 2024 - a proven, easy-to-maintain engine with good spare parts availability. 3,500 hours is not a risk with this type of engine, but a realistic, transparent proof of use.
Investments were also made on deck and in the technology: new sprayhood and camper top (2022), pulpit and swim ladder (2021), two new Varta batteries (125 + 165 Ah) with Victron charging system. The result: a setup that works - not one that has to be set up first.
The construction itself provides the basis for this: hand-built GRP sea cruiser from Glückstadt with 2,400 kg of fixed keel ballast - built for stability, not for marketing. Inside, you can expect a well-kept original condition with six berths, 1.90 m headroom and sufficient storage space for longer voyages.
In short: a boat for all those who not only want to sail when everything is right - but also when it matters.
